Pefkos Beach is spread around a small bay, flanked by hills and the tall pine trees that give this former fishing village its name. The Greek word “pefko” translates as “pine.”
Relax and admire the pine trees towering above the village as you swim at one of the small beautiful beaches.
Lee Beach is considered the main beach in Pefkos and has recently been awarded Blue Flag status. The Blue Flag is a world-renowned eco-label trusted by millions around the globe. In order to qualify for this award, a series of stringent environmental, educational, safety-related and access-related criteria must be met and maintained. To you as a visitor this means that the sea here is clean and safe and that there are security measures in place to make sure you and your family are, quite literally, in safe waters.
The main beach in Pefkos is a sand beach, which is 500 m long and quite narrow. The beach is relaxed and the view of the surrounding mountains is stunning.
The beach is covered with sand, but there may be a few pebbles here and there. The water is shallow and usually calm.
